Here's how a full-length film looks in the player

This is The Brave Manifesto, all three minutes of it. If your screen and your connection can take it, you're watching it in 4K. The player is in our steel blue and the only things on screen are the film and its controls. Press CC if you'd like the captions on.

One film, set up four different ways

These are all the same upload of What This Is Not. The only thing that changes is a handful of settings in the embed code, so your site can use one film as a quiet background on one page and a full player on another, without anyone uploading it twice.

player_color=%2300a3e0 · logo_url=…

In their brand colours

The controls pick up Brave's own blue, and their logo sits in the corner.

disabled_player_control=settings · disabled_player_control=volume · …

Only the basic controls

You just get play, the progress bar and full screen, so nobody ends up fiddling with settings.

loop=true · background=true

Quiet, for the top of a page

It loops with no sound and no controls, which is the setting I'd use behind a headline.

t=30

Starting part way in

This one skips the first 30 seconds, for when you want to send someone to one particular moment.

Try it yourself

Change the settings and the player and the code underneath it change with them. That little block of code is all your web developer needs, and if you haven't got one, we'll put it on your site for you.

Why they usually start quickly on a phone

When a film is uploaded, Gumlet makes a set of copies at different sizes, from 240p all the way up to 4K for these films. The player picks the one that suits the screen and the connection, and it keeps adjusting as the signal changes, which is why a film will usually keep playing on a train even when the signal comes and goes. Here's what it made from the Brave films.

What I'll look after for you

  • Uploading and processing every film, up to 4K.
  • A player in your colours, with your logo on it if you'd like.
  • Captions on every film.
  • Privacy settings that match who each film is for.
  • The embed code for every place a film appears, or we'll add it to your site for you.

Getting started

  1. Book an Explore call and tell me what films you've got.
  2. Send me the files, or a Drive link, and I'll get them uploaded and set up.
  3. Once you're happy with how each one looks and plays, it goes live on your website.
